Ironing

A lovely wrinkly Grandma
Had just turned ninety-nine.
Her children gave her roses,
Her sister gave her wine.
A gift came from her grandkids
She took a peek within:
A brand new shiny iron
“To smooth out Grandma’s skin.”

  1. Aren’t kids great? With zero interest in sugar coating things, they have the gift of cutting right to the chase. So if Grandma is a wrinkly old hag, they’ll be sure to let her know exactly how they feel in the least subtle way. Enjoy that iron, Grandma! 😝
