Finish This Poem – “Milkshake”

I made myself a milkshake
I added milk and cream
I whizzed it in a blender
It tasted like a dream
The tasty special item
I’d added to my brew:

(Can you finish this poem? 😂😂😂)

  1. I made myself a milkshake
    I added milk and cream
    I whizzed it in a blender
    It tasted like a dream
    The tasty special item
    I’d added to my brew
    Was the tear of a unicorn –
    Just the one would do.

    But where did I find such a thing?
    Where can you harvest that tear?
    I searched mountains high, c
    Crossed seas so vast,
    Travelled lands far and near;

    Until I reached an island
    Where stood a maiden fair;
    And in her hand a chain of gold
    That held a mythical creature there.

    The unicorn was captive,
    And the maid did hold it so;
    How to release the unicorn,
    Was a thing I did not know.

    And so, by force, I took that chain;
    The force of mind it was;
    I didn’t hurt the maiden;
    I had no need, because…

    …It was her mind that she chose to change,
    Of creature and chain-holder to rearrange
    And there I was with a feeling so strange,
    And I released the unicorn
    A final tear from its eye was born
    And I captured that tear as it fell –
    The unicorn ran as one set free
    And I held that gift so close to me

    Until I had a certain need,
    To create a worthy drink indeed
    And there it was a dream to make
    The beauty of a Unicorn’s Tear Milkshake.
