An Ode to Clothing

This is an ode to clothing of
A very special type.
It’s rather undervalued,
There’s never any hype.
This clothing, though, is central
To dignity, and more—
Without it, all our pants would be
In heaps upon the floor.

It’s belts of which I’m speaking,
It’s belts that keep things right.
Without our belts, the world would see
Our undies, pink and white.
These marvellous creations
Robust and cheap and true
They keep our very’ buttcracks
Right out of public view!

  1. hahhahahha.. so so cute.. i am in totally love with your cute brainy creations.. how brilliant you have spoken the importance of belts which we never recognise. i know, the belts have a scary side too. heard stories about some dad’s demonous habit of beating their kids with belts.. this is super cute, Robbie.

    1. Oh Deepa you never fail to put a smile on my face 😊 Yes, belts have a scary side – but they can be darn useful. Also if you curl them up just right they look like little leather snakes 😁

  2. Your waist must be tiny to hold such a view
as I can say that with the amount of them I have had
that none of the things you praise them for are true
if you don’t believe come and look you will see I am sad
but because I have to keep putting more holes in these belts
they end up turning into something a useless as a toothless snake
so let me tell you mate that this clothing article is the worst thing I’d ever dealt
now stop praising these horrible things can’t you see your gucci belt is fake
