Finish This Poem – “Shoes”

There once was a man who’d refuse
To ever wear slippers or shoes.
He was stubborn until
At the foot of a hill,

(Can you finish this poem? 😂😀😛)

  1. Until at the foot of the hill
    He met god
    God laughed at him
    He asked why
    God said he felt pity
    Pity for the man
    Who walked with bare foot
    irritated man said
Oh god! I came to see u
Walking the top of the hill
    With my shoes
    When i entered the shrine
    I left my shoes outside
    Upon return
    They were missing
    Even at god’s abode
    Nothing is permanent
    Everything in life is temporary

  2. He was stubborn until
At the foot of the hill
He saw he had nothing to lose,
    He started his trek
    He thought “what the heck!”
He’d find something else for his toes
    He searched far and wide
    Nothing could hide
From the eyes at the top of his nose
    His journey way long
    All apparel was wrong
Til he found what had the right feel
    The only winner
    That made him feel thinner
    Was a sparkled 3″ heel!

    1. I love how this ends
      So kooky my friend
And I bet our old mate felt quite schmantzy
      I hope he wears heels
      Whenever he feels
The need to be just a tad fancy! 😂

(Had to edit this to take out a random Australianism… oops 😁

      1. I think I originally wrote

        I love how this ends
        So kooky my friend
I bet he looked fancy and stunning…
        I hope he wears heels
        Whenever he feels
He wants to – yep, even to Bunnings!

(Burnings is a super common hardware store in Australia) 😂

    He was stubborn until
At the foot of a hill,
    ————————————
    Where his stubbornness went further
He didn’t give a damn about no hiking boots or a heel spur,
He climbed that hill as if it were Everest
Leaving behind all his imaginary friends he is the best,
Making his way to the very top
Nothing would slow him down, he would never stop,
Standing on top of the world, he looked far below
he stood with pride as the survivor of this climb, he could feel it in his toes,
It was then that he looked at the ground,
That feeling in his toes were ants, he had climbed an ant mound.
His feet burned like fire, while he yelled shoo
Now he wished he wore shoes.
